Card of the Day 10/19/2012

The 3 of Cups

Can you come up with one word to describe this card?

Can you make a sentence to describe this card?

Can you make a sentence with the 3 of Cups and the High Priestess?

Do you see these cards manifesting in your life today?

What are the predominant colors? Does that mean anything to you?

What is the dominant subject?

How does it make you feel?

Does it bring up any memories for you?  Even fragmented ones of thoughts, smells, sensations, emotions, sounds, etc.

  1. Morgana says:

This is one card I have difficulties with so I will be interested to hear what others have to say about it.

  2. Marie White says:

This card in particular or the 3 of Cups in any deck?

  3. Marie White says:

I can tell you some of my thoughts on it. I painted it with the idea that the 3 rivers all came from the same source and all flowed back to the same source eventually in a neverending cycle. As a 3 I relate it to the Empress, love, caring abundance, fertility, growth, etc. and being in the suit of Water it is abundance in heart, love, caring, relationships, also the collective unconscious, the common energetic/spiritual source we all have. Hopefully these things bring about empathy and forgiveness, sympathy, caring for others unconditionally. A very Yin energy card.

  4. Marie White says:

Which is strengthened being paired with the High Priestess, especially the collective unconscious aspect. I would say something like – remember that any division between us is an illusion and try to remember that in your dealings with people today.

    Peaceful

Can you make a sentence to describe this card?
The one becomes the many but remains one.

Can you make a sentence with the 3 of Cups and the High Priestess?
    Dive deep to find peace.

Do you see these cards manifesting in your life today?
    We’ll have to see…

What are the predominant colors? Does that mean anything to you?
Green…which always reminds me of peace and plenty.

    What is the dominant subject?
The tree to me, because it’s in the fore ground which makes me have to “look around” it to see the rivers and mountains.

How does it make you feel? Calm

Does it bring up any memories for you? Even fragmented ones of thoughts, smells, sensations, emotions, sounds, etc.
The deafening sounds of a rushing rivers and waterfalls-which I love.
